Bereavement and Casualty
War Widows’ Association of Great Britain
War Widows’ Association (WWA) Objectives The WWA is essentially a pressure group and exists to improve the conditions of War Widows and their dependants in Great Britain. Its work encompasses not only those who have suffered bereavement from the last World War and as a result of more recent conflicts such as Korea, the Falklands and the Gulf but also those who have suffered the loss of their husband in peacetime, when his death was attributable to his service life. WWA Members If you receive, or have received a War Widows' Pension you may become a full member. Gentlemen in receipt of a War Widowers’ Pension are welcome to join as full members. If you are a child or close relative of a War Widow/Widower and wish to support the aims and objectives of the Association you may become an associate member. The Association welcomes applications from ladies who whilst widows of service personnel may not receive a War Widows' Pension. Membership Membership of the Association costs £10.00p for life membership and so the Association relies upon the financial support of the ex-Service community and organisations to carry out its work.
