Deployment Welfare Package
Introduction
The MoD recognises that the number of operations to which Service Personnel are committed has increased significantly in recent years. In addition, until recently, the level of welfare support varied from operation to operation and, as a result, personnel did not know what deployment welfare to expect. Responding to these concerns led to a comprehensive review of deployment welfare in order to bring about a more 'joined-up' approach to welfare provision and to develop a consistent and guaranteed package. The result was the production of a single, comprehensive DWP.
