Community Support Handbook

Introduction

For RAF personnel to be properly effective in the demanding environment of world-wide operational deployments, it is essential that their well being, and that of their families is properly cared for. The RAF has a well found support organisation that provides the necessary community support services for personnel both in the UK and overseas. However, for that support to be effective individuals must firstly be aware of it and secondly call upon it for help whenever the need arises. It is therefore important that you understand the depth and breadth of the community support that is available to you and how that support can be accessed whenever your peace of mind, or that of your family, is affected.

This web site is your essential survival guide to the community support services that are available to you and to your family.

If you have any worries that could affect your performance as a Serviceman or woman you should seek help. Help is available from many sources including your line management, local SSAFA-Forces Help, Chaplains and Station Medical Officers (SMOs).
