http://talktofrank.com/ Drug Information | National Drug Helpline

The helpline does not provide individual medical advice, formal counselling or treatment. However, they do hold information on local agencies throughout the UK that can provide more specialist help. This information is updated continuously.

The helpline is confidential and non-judgmental.
They are committed to treating callers courteously and sensitively. They do not ask for your name (unless you would like them to send you leaflets or call you back for any reason). To help them find out if and how the helpline is reaching all areas, they usually ask you for the first part of your home postcode and how you became aware of the number. To help them find out if they are reaching all parts of the community, they also ask a sample of callers how old they are and how they would describe their ethnic origin. It is entirely up to the caller as to whether they answer these questions.

None of the information they collect can identify an individual. Chargeable calls made on mobile phones may appear on itemised bills. They may monitor or record some calls for our own training purposes only.

Calls to all our services are free from fixed-line phones Please note that calls to 0800 numbers from mobile phones may be chargeable. Please check with your mobile phone network.

They aim to provide accurate, up-to-date and consistent information.
Over 99% of the information enquiries they receive can be answered straight away. If they cannot answer your specific question, they will offer to research it in more detail and to call you back. You can expect them to call you back within one working day.

They can send you free leaflets on drugs.
These are the most up-to-date editions of relevant publications from the UK Health Departments and their health education agencies. Their target is to despatch at least 95% of orders by the end of the following working day. These are sent out by second class post. In the last year, 96% of orders were despatched by the end of the following working day. A selection of the leaflets that they send out is now available in large print, braille or audiotape formats.
