- Is there variety within the training and routine tasks?

- Do I talk to my subordinates and actually understand the pressures that they are under?
- Do I really listen to them?

- Is there anything that I can do to reduce domestic or personal pressures under which my subordinates are operating?

If all the answers are yes, then you are
Minimising
the risks of your subordinates being subjected to stress and
Maximising
the effectiveness of the team.
Remember:
Civilian employees are as much a part of the team as the uniformed personnel and so ask these questions in relation to them too.
