The Down's Syndrome Association

The Down's Syndrome Association is a membership led and driven organisation, open to anyone who wishes to join. Full membership which confers voting rights, is open to parents, adults with Down's syndrome and their carers. Associate membership is open to grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters and godparents. Affiliate membership is open to all professionals, (Doctors, Nurses, Speech & Language Therapists etc.) and schools, colleges and organisations.

Members are allocated to the branch of their choice. All branches are different, but in general branches welcome and support new parents and new members, provide access to a wide range of resources, produce newsletters, arrange social and fundraising events and contribute to the development of the Association through representation on the National Forum.

All members of the Association receive our regular Newsletter and information about events and conferences organised throughout the year. Full members of the Association are entitled to vote at meetings, hold office or run a branch of the Association.

The Association exists to support parents and carers of people with Down's Syndrome and improve the lives of people with the condition, and without members we would not exist.
