Contact - National Association of Child Contact Centres
Keeping 2000 children a week in touch with both parents through a network of Child Contact Centres. What are Child Contact Centres? Child Contact Centres are neutral venues where the children of separated families can enjoy contact with one (or both) parents, and sometimes other family members, in a comfortable and safe environment when there is no viable alternative. What do Child Contact Centres offer? Child Contact Centres aim to provide short-term help and support towards establishing meaningful contact between child and visiting parent. Centres are staffed by volunteers whose role is to make contact an enjoyable experience for both child and parent. Where are they situated? There are currently more than 280 member Centres operating throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Some Centres offer supported contact, whilst others can provide supervised or assessed contact. They can also act as a hand-over point.
