Where can I go if I need some help and advice after I have left the RAF? The Veterans Agency is there to help you now and in the future. Am I a Veteran? The Veterans Agency interprets the term Veteran as any ex-serving member of the Armed Forces and anyone who has served in the mercantile marine during wartime. What does this mean to me? It means that you are able to use the services provided by the Veterans Agency. If they don't know the answer they will try to find it, or point you in the right direction to get the answer you need. I came out of the Forces fit and well, but find I'm having health problems, what can I do? You may be able to get help if you are having health problems, which are linked, to your time in the Forces. Ring the Veterans Agency and an advisor will discuss your particular problems with you. I can't get a job, what can I do? There are a number of options, such as re-training which are provided by different agencies and organisations. Ring a Veterans Agency advisor who will discuss your situation and may be able to put you in touch with appropriate agencies that can help you. I am having financial problems, can someone help me? Again depending on your situation you may be able to get financial help, a Veterans Agency advisor will discuss this with you. I am having problems getting accommodation, can I get any help? There are a number of organisations dedicated to helping veterans with accommodation problems. A Veterans Agency advisor will be able to discuss your needs and point you in the right direction. I have so many problems I don't know what to do, will someone come and talk to me? The Veterans Agency recognises that there may be times when it is not practical to discuss some matters over the telephone or by writing to us.
