Personnel Holding Flight

Personnel Holding Flight, or PHF as it is more commonly known, provides personnel, administrative and welfare support to those individuals assigned onto either the permanent or temporary strength of the Flight.
Personnel can be assigned to PHF for a wide variety of reasons however; the majority of individuals assigned to PHF are non-effective. Those individuals assigned to PHF who are not classified as non-effective fall into one of 3 categories: Airmen Re-selectees, Compassionate Returns to the UK and Consecutive Overseas Tourists.
OC PHF and WO PHF also oversee the RAFâs Standing Committee of Adjustment (RAFSCA) which administers the personnel effects of a those individuals who sadly die whilst in Service.
