Sports | Combined Services Chess Association (CSCA)
The main objective of the Association is to encourage chess within the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force. They also provide a means by which UK Forces and Ex-Servicemen can maintain contact with each other.
The CSCA holds an annual tournament to find out who is the champion service chess player for the year. Not only are serving members entitled to play in the tournament, but all full members of the association are welcome to play. Furthermore, they organise matches against other associations such as the Civil Service Chess Association and against various league associations around the country. Members also receive 'Open File', the periodical of the Combined Services Chess Association, which provides members with games from service events, as well as containing articles from players.
