MoD Reunited 'I recently supported the launch of the 'Police Reunited' website' continues Jacqui. 'It has proved immensely successful and many ex Services personnel in the police asked us to launch a similar site for the Armed Forces. So MoD Reunited has been launched and is proving a massive hit.' The service is entirely free. The uniqueness of the site revolves around the combination of confidentiality, security and automation. The system is secure, with no email addresses or other contact details being displayed. Once contact with past colleagues has been established using our secure email system, it is up to you how much in the way of contact details you give that person. The system will automatically email you as soon as a colleague from one of your units joins the system, wherever they are in the world. Message boards can be used to post appeals and organise reunions. The site includes the ability to search by posting or by name, and searches internationally. The system has been designed by ex services personnel, quite used to the reality of multiple postings throughout their careers. I do hope that MoD Reunited is successful in reuniting friends and colleagues. The Services, like the police, have always been more than just a job - more a way of life, and it would be sad if contact with people to whom we were once so close was lost forever.
